We do need a new way of diplomatic activities relating to the war in Ukraine. New American approach to this global problem requires a new global way of thinking to prevent far right European parties from benefiting. The longer we think about sending only more and more money and weapons to the battlefield in Ukraine, the bigger risk for the EU democracy is rising. We do have to send money and weapons to the battlefield but we do have to send a completely new message too. All the elections 2027-2029 in the EU are only in 2-4 years. What can be the game-changer? Something that all the world finds positive and progressive. 13 years ago Poland and Ukraine delivered a great EURO 2012. Now we need even bigger challenge. World Cup 2042 can do the job. Such a big event will focus global attention on peace for the next 17 years, if Poland and Ukraine bid. Would Russia continue with hostail politics in case World Cup would be coming to the CEE? Hardly possible they would cope with fighting against all the world.

So, all we in Europe do want Ukraine to take active part in peace talks with Russia. But what we really do to move on with it? Our diplomacy is professional but still with much lower impact factor than American one. However, Polish diplomats are always learning for change… In 2012 Poland and Ukraine delivered a great regional event that focused general attention on this part of the world. Now we do have to go ahead once again, in highly impactful partnership with football. Imagine now all those big headlines everywhere on air with Poland and Ukraine smartly challenging for 2042. Poland Ukraine 2042 - the World Cup with global importance will make the job!

There's the 33rd grand finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity today. It's a nationwide fundraising event in Poland. Its symbol is very well recognised all over the EU-member country. This recurring event started in 1993 and happens in January each year. Thousands of young Poles go to the streets with colourful fundraising boxes to let Polish people join the mission. And the mission is to support public health services in Poland, those ones focused on childrens' health at most. The money they raise always goes to the Polish hospitals as brand new appliances and highly advanced devices, incl. CTs. Even in Africa people know what the red WOŚP heart does mean. It means good cooperation for good.

Poland will experience the 2025 presidential election on the 18th May. If none candidate succeeds with 50% + 1 vote, then second round comes on the 1st June. The Speaker of the Parliament, and the leader for the centrist "Polska 2050" party - Hon. Szymon Hołownia, announced it today. What's crucial, he is also one of the running candidates. Polls show he can get ca. 10% of votes now. It happens even though the campaigning has not started the official way yet.

From the heart of the European continent to Africa, Poland is breaking the boundaries that once separated the continents, by reaching out to Africa through the "Immersive Centrico" project and the Floor4Africa Programme (F4A). This this time we focus on building concrete floors in urban slum communities of Africa, where children are exposed to dirt floors and problems associated with staying in such an unhealthy environment at school. Everything started in Kenya in 2018, followed by Sierra Leone, Ghana and Nigeria. Impressive success was recorded in all, and the local builders and community members continually appreciate the opportunity to be part of their communitie’s development in SDG4, SDG3, SDG8 prism.

Two very essential anniversaries in Poland today. First, the anniversary of the Martial Law introduced by the communistic dictatorship in 1981. Today we also celebrate restoring of the democratic rules, after the general election that happened on 15th October 2023. It took two months to form the democratic coalition govt of Donald Tusk. It was implied by the fact that formerly ruling party got top result. But they were not able to take the power due to the lack of majority in both houses of the Polish parliament. They tried to attract others without final success. So, on 13th December 2023 democratic clock restarted in Poland. Today all members of the Polish democratic government, including people from the centrist party "Polska 2050" of the Speaker of the lower house of the parliament called "Sejm" - Hon. Szymon Hołownia, released a short footage summarizing one year of restoring democracy in this unique European Union country.

Looks like Donald Trump is restarting the 2025 presidential election in Poland. The campaign has even not started yet. How is it possible? Poland is a leading US partner in the CEE region. We've got 2 leading parties here. They declared they can introduce their candidates for the President office only when they know final results of American elections. On one hand, Trump's win can make both of them let quite conservative candidates run now. Hardly anybody would be surprised with seeing Radoslaw Sikorski and Przemyslaw Czarnek as KO and PiS candidates. On the other hand, there's still a lot of open-minded space for the "Third Way" candidate - Szymon Holownia, to join this fluctuating competition. Speaker of the Polish parliament can be a very good, centrist alternative for the group of pro-democratic and pro-EU voters in Poland. Many people are quite fed up with constant polarisation happening in the Polish politics. So, it's not a 'mission impossible' at all to build a brand-new progressive strategy for him.

A big flood in south-western Poland affects Poles living over there. A few million people and SMEs experience challenges concerning life after the flood. It's the leader for the centrist "Polska 2050" party and the Speaker for the Polish parliament - Szymon Hołownia, who runs the crisis response parliamentary session right now. It started yesterday and is supposed to last till Tuesday, 1st OCT. Debates were on even at night. Local damages to are said to be very serious. The government of Poland is releasing billions of PLNs, incl. special support from the EU funding.

Poland experiences another massive flood in the south-western part of this EU-member country. Number of affected people is growing. Members of the government from "Polska 2050" party of the Polish Parliament Speaker - Szymon Hołownia, take part in a professional crisis response. It includes monitoring of the natural water retention, first of all. The ongoing flood makes also the Secretary for Climate and Environment - Hon. Paulina Hennig-Kloska, keep informing the general public in Poland about the action she leads. She is also a member of '2050'. According to her, the startegic objective is to provide relief to the affected households. It must be done by means of the constant access to the electricity for the flood-control pumps. This flood is very similar to the one Poland experienced in 1997.

Speaker of the lower chamber of the Polish parliament and the leader for the centrist party "Polska 2050" - Hon. Szymon Hołownia, said: "The lesson we ought to keep in our hearts, after all the misery of the 20th century, is the fact felons act only when heros do not." He took part in the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the WW2 that took place in the seashore City of Gdańsk, in northern Poland, in the early morning today. On the 1st September 1939 (04.45 CET), a German nazi warship attacked Polish military base Westerplatte located over there. It marks the beginning of the WW2 in the History of the World.

Yesterday the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising was celebrated in Poland. On 1st August 1944 Poles started to fight German Nazi troops in Warsaw, the capital city of this country. Hitler's Germany held well-equipped army in entire Poland during the WW2. So, the challenge was not easy to succeed and - this way - it mobilised thousands of non-military people. One of them was Nigerian musician staying in Poland. To perform jazz music in Warsaw, Mr August Agbola O'Browne had come from Nigeria. He became probably the only black member of the Polish Resistance that time. 200k people were killed in Warsaw Uprising but not him. He survived, he married Polish lady and they moved to the UK.
